What is hidden in Ramadan 2017 ? Part 1

Ramadan is here and the whole world is getting ready for it. The holy month gets intensive attention from all different fields in the business, most recognizable the advertising area. Marketing and Advertising go wild during Ramadan. Each and every business bring out the best. We can see the acute competition between different competitors in the market.

 

Over the past years, the wild competition is clearly noticed, the audience enjoy it and always thirsty for more. This competition phenomena turned out to be exclusively prospected during Ramadan. The audience’s expectations get higher every year and questions pop up; Which is better? Is it Coca-Cola or Pepsi? Etisalat is Adorable, No Vodafone is better …etc.

 

It was noticed among the past years that, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Vodafone, Orange and Etisalat are key players during that massive competition. Not only the big companies in the market but also Charity organizations and NGOs have remarkable presence. All the companies focus on the emotional part in the customers’ minds. As Ramadan is the month of generosity, they keep addressing the good you can do during it.

 

One of the key players in the advertising field is Pepsi. Pepsi keeps the audience eagerly waiting every year and it booms a surprise. Its famous campaign was يلا نكمل لمتنا, which continued for three years in a row. This campaign played on the emotional part of the customers’ perceptions and met great results.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Another leader is Coca-Cola, stating familiar message of support, kindness and love for others. There are some of Coca-Cola’s past campaigns.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We can’t forget the great campaign that Vodafone launched in 2015 قوتك فى عيلتك   and it maintained the same message in 2016.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Orange really surprised us in 2016 and it was great impact to leave after changing its name from Mobinil to Orange.
